ST. PAUL, Minn. - After delaying the festivities out of respect for the Gulf Coast states that were struggling with Hurricane Gustav just as the Republican National Convention (RNC) was supposed to be kicking off, credit unions were out in full force for the remainder of the GOP event.
As credit unions continue to build influence in national politics, credit unions again helped present a set of keys to a specially built home to a wounded soldier, having raised money for the home and providing volunteers to help build it.
More than 200 people from Minneosta credit unions, Homes For Our Troops, the RNC staff and community were on hand to welcome Sgt. Marcus Kuboy to his new home in Woodbury, Minn.
Among the dignitaries on hand were Gov.
