John Largent is set to take the helm at Members Trust Company on Jan. 1, 2020, the credit union service organization announced this week.
A 15-year veteran of the CUSO, Largent will lead the investment team and look into expansion efforts within his new role. He

“[Largent] has been instrumental in the success that we enjoy with members and credit unions, and in building our brand,” Jonathan Rich, chairman of the board, said in a statement. “I feel confident that he – and our excellent executive management team – will build on the foundation and momentum achieved under Tom Walker’s leadership and that he will lead Members Trust Company to a bright future.”
Largent first joined Members Trust in 2004 as a chief investment strategist in which he grew his team by 199 percent from $60 million in assets under management to over $2.3 billion. His career kicked off on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and he has worked in financial services for over 30 years.
Licensed as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Largent has undergraduate degrees from the University of Arkansas in finance and banking, as well as an MBA.
