ATLANTA – Delta Community CU has signed with Abel Solutions to implement the company’s Microsoft SharePoint project management solution based on SharePoint 2010 and EPM Live’s WorkEngine.
The solution will be Delta Community CU’s first installation of SharePoint and, along with WorkEngine, will address business requirements for management of projects ranging from regulatory compliance and new product development to IT infrastructure.
EPMLive said its WorkEngine provides Microsoft SharePoint Project and Work Management solutions for teams, workgroups and organizations that want to utilize enterprise tools.
Delta Community CU’s former document storage system limited user’s ability to share documents – except via e-mail – and provided no option for dynamically updating team members as project plans were changed. The credit union said the new solution will give it increased visibility all the way up to the executive level for the scope and breadth of work being performed.
“We’re starting our SharePoint launch project as an enterprise project management solution – using WorkEngine to solve the immediate needs for project management – but we have a long-term vision to use SharePoint across the enterprise,” said Bill Mesplay, senior vice president and chief information officer for the $4-billion credit union.
