Desert Schools FCU Feeds TheHungry

PHOENIX - (07/27/05) -- Employees and members of DesertSchools FCU helped collect enough food and cash donations toprovide almost 9,000 meals to needy Arizona families. During thecredit union's Hunger Awareness Food Drive credit union employeesand members collected 8,181 pounds of non-perishable food items andenough cash to buy another 750 meals that was all donated to localfood banks. The food and cash was donated to Westside Food bank ofWest Valley, St. Mary's Food Bank of downtown Phoenix, St. Vincentde Paul of Casa Grande, St. Vincent de Paul of Payson, and UnitedFood Bank of East Valley.
