PHOENIX – Desert Schools FCU raised $217,000 to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network during the credit union’s 12th-annual CMN Golf Tournament at Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia.

In 2009 Desert Schools raised $324,000 for the hospital. All proceeds benefit the "1 Darn Cool School," an on-site classroom facility that benefits long-term patients. The funds are raised through a variety of events all year from the golf tournament and branch change drives to an employee BBQ, Bowl-a-Thon and online donations.
The $3 billion credit union raised $324,000 for the hospital in 2009 and has raised almost $2 million for CMN since 1998.
