Members of Desert Schools Federal Credit Union will be able to obtain fleet rates for automobiles at selected car dealers in the CU's three-county area under its new "MVP," or Member Value Pricing program.
Ron Amstutz, Desert Schools FCU's vice president and chief information officer, said MVP was introduced two months ago, but the credit union has been promoting it in its newsletter.
"This is an enhancement of our existing loan direct program, where members or non-members can get loans at 200 dealers," Amstutz explained. "MVP offers specific pricing through the dealers' fleet program if the members know exactly which vehicle they want. No haggling, no hassle."
Not all of the 200 dealers who currently are partners in the loan direct program have signed up for the MVP program, he added. "But some dealers are committing to offering more services."
Desert Schools serves those who live, work, worship or attend school in Gila, Maricopa or Pinal Counties. It is Arizona's largest CU; with 325,000 members and $2.6 billion in assets.
