Detroit County Approves CUs For List Of Depositories

DETROIT – The Oakland County (Detroit) Board of Commissioners voted to approve the use of federally-insured credit unions as another investment option for collected tax dollars.

A credit union would need to have a field of membership in Oakland County, and a local branch office in the county in order to be eligible as a depository.

The provision was sponsored by Commissioner David Woodward who is a director of Northwood CU.
