DFCU Financial Gives $160,000 To Local Schools

DEARBORN, Mich. – DFCU Financial CU said yesterday it is making contributions of $10,000 to 16 different school districts across the state.

Our philanthropic outreach has been in education since 2003, when the schools really started hurting from budget cuts," said Mark Shobe, president of the $2.4 billion credit union, during a presentation today at Kelloggsville's Southeast Elementary. Kelloggsville will use the credit union funds to boost springtime grants to teachers who request money for special projects.
