NORTH CANTON, Ohio – ATM maker Diebold reported a $7.2 million loss yesterday for its third quarter, as sales slid 26% for the period.
The company reported third quarter revenues of $645.2 million, compared to $869.1 million for the third quarter last year.
In addition, the third quarter financials included a $31.4 million loss booked on the sale of the company’s voting machine operations, Premier Election Solutions.
Revenues for the first three quarters declined 34% to $2 billion. As a result, net income plunged 72% for the first three quarters to $24.9 million.
