NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Diebold yesterday said it has partnered with VALID Systems to help credit unions and banks streamline check-cashing services for non-members/customers.

VALID’s Web-based identity verification system will allow tellers to quickly enroll non-members for check-cashing services, which then can be performed at the teller window or through the convenience of a deposit-capable automated teller machine.
Flexible rules allow each financial institution to dictate check-cashing criteria and fee structures appropriate to its strategies and goals.
