MIDLAND, Texas – Dow Chemical Employees’ CU raised $25,147 for United Way of Midland County’s 2010 campaign.
The credit union increased its contribution to the campaign by 26.5% compared to 2009.
“Our employees entered into a friendly competition to raise the contribution, dividing our staff of 150 people into four teams,” said Dow Chemical President Dennis Hanson. “The teams, led by myself and three vice presidents, united to reach the goal of raising at least $4,000 each.”
Credit union employees were offered the opportunity to have their vehicles washed by the CEO and vice presidents if they increased their current pledge or started a new pledge.
