Drive For Hope Raises $57,000 For Lung Cancer Research

MADISON, Wis. – CUES’ Drive for Hope 2009 has raised $57,000 for the University of Wisconsin Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center’s “Creating Hope” Lung Cancer Campaign to provide facilities, researchers and support for lung cancer research.

The annual golf tournament has raised some $300,000 since its inception in 2006.

"I continue to be inspired by the generosity and support of the credit union community for this event. The contributions made this year by so many dedicated and giving individuals will take us a step closer to creating hope for those battling lung cancer and their families,” said CUES CEO Fred Johnson, whose wife, Linda, passed away from lung cancer in 2006.
