GATE CITY, Tenn. - (12/02/05) -- Eastman CU announced Thursday it hasdonated $50,000 to the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Associationfor the construction of the Blockhouse Interpretative Center atNatural Tunnel State Park. The center will showcase 1775 eraexhibits and feature an audiovisual seminar area and a gift shop.The original blockhouse, which was built near the North Fork of theHolston River by Capt. John Anderson, has been reconstructed at thesite. The historic association plans to hold special events at theblockhouse throughout the year.
