TOPEKA, Kan. – Education CU will conduct its own ‘Pay it Forward’ campaign by offering visitors to its branches $20 to answer the question "If Educational Credit Union gave you $20 to Pay it Forward. What would you do?"
The campaign will be conducted during International CU Week Oct. 13th–to Oct. 16th and videos of the answers will be uploaded to the credit union’s YouTube page where viewers can vote on the best answer on how they plan to use the free cash.
Participant with the most comments by November 2nd will receive $500 and an additional $500 will be given to the charity or beneficiary of their choice.
"This year’s theme for International Credit Union Week is ‘Your Money, Your Choice, Your Credit Union’, and this campaign to Pay it Forward just seemed like a perfect fit for us as a member-owned financial institution," said Greg Winkler, president of Educational CU.
