Luis Reyes, ELCA

Reyes replaces the Rev. Arnold O. Pierson, who is retiring. Pierson served as president since the institution opened in June 2016.

Reyes previously served as chief operations officer since February 2015. Under his purview, the CU earned the highest regulatory ranking that the National Credit Union Administration awards in recognition for its online and mobile banking options along with the expansion of its product portfolio offerings.

Before that, Reyes worked for First Financial Credit Union. He joined that credit union in 1993 and was appointed as chief operations officer in 2009, overseeing operations pertinent to member services, lending, marketing, business development and technology.

The $8.3 million-asset ELCA serves the lay members, rostered leaders, congregations, ministries and employees of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
