Elevations Credit Union, Boulder, Colo., on Thursday said it has agreed to be an employee banking services partner for the City of Boulder, with the city offering access to Elevations' financial services as an employee benefit.
The $1.6 billion CU said in addition to providing traditional products and services for city employees, Elevations will support Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), community events, financial literacy, employee financial planning and other initiatives.
"This is a natural partnership of like-minded organizations," Dennis Paul, vice president of business and community development for Elevations Credit Union, said in a statement. "We look forward to supporting the city and its employees in a variety of ways."
"Elevations Credit Union has served the Boulder community for more than 60 years, supporting local nonprofits and, through its foundation, assisted impacted residents to recover from the 2013 flood," said Joyce Lira, human resources director for the city. "We are pleased to partner with such a respected financial institution in our own backyard and to offer our employees many of the financial programs enjoyed by other credit union members."
Elevations CU noted it has established similar partnerships with more than 400 businesses and municipalities along Colorado's Front Range, including CU-Boulder, NCAR, NIST, Naropa, the City of Longmont, the St. Vrain Valley School District and more. The credit union, which earned the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2014, provides a range of consumer and business banking services to more than 115,000 members.
Located approximately 30 miles northwest of Denver at an elevation of 5,430 feet, the City of Boulder is home to 103,840 residents and the state's largest institution of higher learning, the University of Colorado.
Founded in 1953 as the U of C Federal Credit Union in Boulder, Elevations has grown from 12 members and less than $100 in assets to an institution with more than 115,000 members that manages over $1.6 billion in assets and is the No. 1 credit union mortgage lender in Colorado.
