MONTOURSVILLE, Penn. – The former manager of Montoursville Area FCU this week admitted in federal court to stealing at least $31,000 from the tiny credit union she said was to help protect her grandson from what turned out to be a phony threat to collect on a drug debt.

Dora Kaiser, 70, told prosecutors she gave the money to her grandson, who told her he needed money to pay off drug dealers who were threatening him because of unpaid debts. However, the threats turned out to be phony and the credit union manager was being conned to help support the young man’s drug habit.
The grandson even had friends make threatening calls he put on a speaker phone for his grandmother to hear.
