Ex-Cop Jailed For Armed Robberies

AUSTIN, Texas – A former Austin Police Department officer pleaded guilty last week to the last year’s armed robbery at Austin Telco FCU, and a separate bank heist.

Ted Nobles, served as an APD sergeant until 2001 when he surrendered his officer’s license and confessed to fraudulently using another employee’s personal information in order to lease a home.

 

Nobles was arrested after a Jan. 14 robbery at Compass Bank, when he was also connected to the Oct. 17, 2008 robbery at the credit union’s Round Rock branch.

 

During his guilty plea, Nobles confessed to both robberies.
