OMAHA, Neb. – The former vice president of First Nebraska Educators CU last week was charged in a civil suit filed by the credit union with embezzling $900,000.

The suit alleges that Caroline Domanski, who was fired May 3, misappropriated the funds for her own use. It requests the court seize any accounts Domanski has to recover the funds.
The suit says the credit union “discovered that the defendant had been fraudulently and unlawfully taking money from the plaintiff, falsifying general ledgers and then falsifying a pattern of fraudulent entries,” to conceal the theft.
