COLUMBIA, S.C. - (04/18/05) -- A former University of SouthCarolina football player was charged last week with the Februaryarmed robbery at South Carolina CU. Marco Hutchinson, 25, ofColumbia, was also charged with kidnapping for allegedly holding ateller against her will during the incident. Hutchinson walked intothe credit union, showed a handgun--which was later found to be atoy--leaped over the counter and demanded money, police said. Hewas charged with kidnapping because he allegedly held the teller atgunpoint until she gave him cash. Hutchinson was a start footballat a local high school and played linebacker for the South CarolinaGamecocks from 1997 to 2000.
