BORGER, Texas - (04/12/05) -- A former teller at Borger 66 CU wasbeing held on $1 million bond Monday after being charged in a22-count indictment with embezzling almost $180,000 from the creditunion, some of it sent to her church. Sandra Lee Porter, 44, ofBorger, was charged with transferring some of the funds to accountsof the First Church of the Nazarene. Porter allegedly removed thefunds from member accounts and transferred the money to severaldifferent accounts. Porter, who worked at the credit union fromAugust 2001 until last month, turned herself into police lastFriday and was being held in Hutchinson County Jail.
