MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The FBI is trying a new tactic to catch a man who has robbed as many as 10 area credit unions and banks, posting his face on billboards throughout the south.
The FBI has put surveillance photos of the suspect, who they say is growing increasingly violent, on electronic billboards that have gone up in eight southern states. The suspect has put a gun in the faces of tellers, threatened to use the gun against them, and threatened violence against the customers.
At Santee Cooper CU in Myrtle Beach, the FBI flier about the serial bank robber is posted at both entrances, every teller station, and even the drive-up window, as well as nearby billboards.
