The focus groups provided insight into the financial outlook and habits of today’s youth, helping Freedom understand Gen Y and how to better appeal to prospective and current young members.

The groups were comprised of CU employees, ages 18 to 26, an external group of teen participants, ages 15 to 18, and a second external group of young adults, ages 19 to 26. Each group consisted of eight to10 people, and all three sessions were moderated by the head of member services. Sessions included dinner and each participant received $50.(c) 2008 The Credit Union Journal and SourceMedia, Inc. All Rights Reserved.http://www.cujournal.com http://www.sourcemedia.com
