Federation Launches Pilot With Council on Aging

NEW YORK – The National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions and the National Council on Aging (NCOA) are entering into a national initiative to help seniors achieve economic security.

Using 16 grants from the Federation as part of its Economic Security for the Low-income Aging project, eight CDCUs and eight economic casework sites around the country are participating in a pilot to link CDCUs with NCOA Economic Security Centers and other local organizations providing economic assistance to aging populations.

The Federation is providing specialized training to the new grantees.
