SAN FRANCISCO – The Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco granted three credit unions a total of $75,000 in Access to Housing and Economic Assistance for Development funding to help the development of non-profit projects in their markets.
Meriwest CU of San Jose, was awarded $50,000 for two projects: to help develop a Catholic Charities project in Santa Clara to design and launch an Asset Building Continuum of services for low-income families; and to help develop a low-income housing project in San Jose.
Also, Mendo Lake CU of Ukiah received $25,000 to help develop a Native American affordable housing project.
The FHLB San Francisco awarded $1 million in AHEAD grants to help develop 32 non-profit projects.
