DES MOINES, Iowa – Financial Plus CU is the first credit union to deploy Dwolla’s FiSync, allowing members to connect the Dwolla payment platform directly to its existing systems, thereby expediting the sign-up process.
Existing Financial Plus members will be able to access Dwolla through the Financial Plus website at FinancialPlusCU.com. After signing up for a Dwolla account – a process estimated to take less than a minute – members will be able to make payments to anyone with an e-mail address, as well as their Facebook and Twitter friends.
Members also will be able to download the Dwolla mobile application, which allows users to make payments via their smart phone. The app allows a user to access Dwolla Spots, a feature that displays a map of Dwolla-accepting merchants based on their smart phone’s current location.
Dwolla is a start-up payments platform that is backed by Iowa credit unions.
