BROOKFIELD, Wis. - (02/09/05) -- Fiserv said it has launched a checkfraud service that digitally analyzes check signatures and comparesthem against a customer database to detect fraud. Fiserv'sFraudGuard Digital Signature Verification is being rolled out inthe company's check processing facilities across the country.FraudGuard DSV works by automatically comparing the signature onthe image of a paid check to an electronic archive of previoussignatures on the checking account. The service will eventually beavailable in all of Fiserv's 49 check processing facilities acrossthe country.
