BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv, Inc., has rolled out a new global account processing solution it says is “designed to transform the way large credit unions do business.”
Called “Acumen,” it uses a server deployment model meant to allow credit unions to scale their operation quickly and at less cost. The Acumen solution was developed within Fiserv using Internet technologies such as Java and AJAX, the company said. It originally was launched in Canada under the name iSpectrum.
“Acumen was designed for a very specific segment of the credit union market and with the unique needs of some of our largest clients in mind. It was built for those seeking to transform and differentiate their strategies and services through technology,” said Scott Butler, president of Credit Union Solutions at Fiserv. “Open at every architectural level, Acumen gives large, IT-savvy credit unions total ownership and control over their technology strategy.”
According to Fiserv, Acumen is the first account processing solution to feature a ubiquitous browser interface for both front-end and back-office applications, which it said provides 360-degree member views to support enhanced service. It is being deployed on Linux servers, and Fiserv said its continuous database replication will allow Acumen to achieve premium uptime.
