FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg FCU has introduced zero-percent loans of up to $10,000 to help its members fund energy efficiency projects.

To bring the “HEAT loan” program to local homeowners, the credit union has partnered with MassSAVE, a program financed and operated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources.
HEAT loans can be used for eligible measures recommended through a MassSAVE energy audit, including air and duct sealing, insulation for attics, walls, and basement ceilings, domestic hot-water systems and high-efficiency heating systems, as well as installation of Energy Star replacement windows.
