TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – State regulators reported they have approved an application from Florida Transportation CU to expand its field of membership to serve state employees in 18 surrounding counties.

The $35 million credit union, which serves employees and retirees of the state’s Department of Transportation, may now serve residents in Dixie, Gilchrist, Alachua, Putnam, St. Johns, Clay, Bradford, Union, Columbia, Baker, Nassau, Duval, Lafayette, Suwannee, Hamilton, Taylor, Madison, and Jefferson counties.
