WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Many credit unions across South and South Central Florida today are closed or preparing to close as the result of Tropical Storm Fay, which has already lashed the Florida Keys and is now pursuing a path north along the West Coast.

Government officials have been urging citizens of the state, many of whom are hurricane veterans, to be prepared for Fay to grow in strength and become a hurricane. The storm is expected to move into Central and North Florida later this week.
