Football Star Pleads Guilty To CU Robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. – Vershon Moore, 21, a football star at Washburn University here until being charged with robbing a branch of Envista Credit Union, has pleaded guilty to the robbery.

Investigators said Moore arrived and showed a gun to two ECU employees who were filling an ATM with cash. Police have also charged a codefendant in the case who worked at the credit union with providing Moore with information on the schedule for servicing the ATM.

Moore faces up to 25 years in prison following his guilty plea.
