SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - (07/03/06) Two local credit unions areproviding free financial education classes to assist migrant andHead Start families, thanks to a $75,000 grant from the FordFoundation. The two credit unions, Santa Cruz Community CU and BayFCU, also teamed up for a Ford grant two years ago to help educateand promote mainline accounts to the unbanked. The two creditunions also developed a money management workshop for parents andstudents called, Building WealthCreandoRiqueza. The financial education classes start July 12 andwill run through October.
