Franklin First Federal Credit Union has appointed one of its former tellers to its top leadership position.
The Greenfield, Mass.-based credit union announced in a press release Wednesday that Michelle Dwyer will succeed Martha Richardson as chief executive and president starting July 1. Richardson will retire after 32 year of work at the credit union.
Dwyer joined the $58 million credit union as a teller in 2007 and was later promoted to lead teller. She was named accounting specialist in 2013.
"We are delighted to have someone with Michelle's insights and knowledge of Franklin First and its members," Karen Herzog, chair of Franklin First Federal's board, said in the release. "We look forward to her leading the Franklin First team to continued growth and many years of service to our loyal members."
Franklin First serves more than 6,600 members and more than 250 business group partners at their branch in Greenfield.
