WARMINSTER, Penn. – Freedom CU last month held three financial services-oriented focus groups to explore the needs and desires of so-called Generation Y.
The focus groups provided insight into the financial outlook and habits of today’s youth, helping Freedom understand Gen Y and how to better appeal to prospective and current young members.
The groups were comprised of credit union employees, ages 18-26, an external group of teen participants, ages 15-18, and a second external group of young adults, ages 19-26. Each group consisted of 8-10 people, and all three sessions were moderated by the head of member services.
Focus group sessions included dinner and each participant received $50.
