NEW YORK – NCUA Board Member Michael E. Fryzel was Honorary Grand Marshal of the Pulaski Day Parade here yesterday.

The parade was held in honor of Polish General Casmir Pulaski, who lost his life fighting on the American side in the Revolutionary War. Fryzel, the first Polish-American to be named to the NCUA board and to serve as chairman, was presented with a plaque for his dedication and support of the credit union moment and a medal commemorating his role in the 2009 Pulaski Parade.
Fryzel acknowledged the work done by the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union in working with the community in sponsoring the parade and numerous other community events.
