St. Basil's Parish Credit Union has a new charter and a new name. Approved by the state to serve the specific neighborhoods in the city of Pittsburgh, the credit union has changed its name to Basil Community Credit Union.

TULLAHOMA, Tenn.-The $955-million AEDC Federal Credit Union is absorbing via merger Maury Progressive Credit Union of Columbia, Tenn. The $6.4-million MPCU served 1,555 members. Its facility is now a branch of AEDC FCU.

ST. LOUIS-NCUA has chartered a new low-income credit union here. Choices Federal Credit Union will serve employees of eight community organizations and members of a low-income association in the St. Louis area, including Better Family Life, Beyond Housing/Neighborhood Housing Services of St. Louis, Inc., Catholic Commission on Housing, Good Samaritan Service Center, Habitat for Humanity St. Louis, Justine Peterson Housing and Reinvestment Corporation, STEP, Inc. and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. It will also serve members of Stakeholder Clients' Association.

LA PORTE, Del.-Du Pont La Porte FCU has been OK'd for a community charter. It will do so under its new name, Beacon FCU, which it plans to introduce to members at its annual meeting March 4.

EVERGREEN PARK, Ill.- South Division Credit Union has been approved by Illinois' regulator for a community charter to serve 600,000 households in Chicago and the near south and west suburbs. The $46-million credit union currently serves 8,000 members and was previously SEG-based.

DUBUQUE, Iowa-The tiny Stockton Employees Credit Union is merging into the $345-million Dupaco Credit Union. The $575,000-credit union served 325 members who primarily worked at the Dura manufacturing plant in Stockton, Ill.
