Generations CU Names Former Banker As CEO

OLYMPIA, Wash. — William Paulen has been named president and CEO of Generations Credit Union here.

Paulen comes to the $27 million CU from AmericanWest Bank in Everett, Wash., where he was VP of commercial and community banking.

Before joining the bank, Paulen was a financial examiner at the Department of Financial Institutions/Division of Credit Unions in Washington State.

Paulen takes over at Generations from interim president Maurice Green, who 11 months ago stepped in after the departure of CEO Marilyn Ball-Brown. Green returns to his CFO role.
