MODESTO, Calif. – A woman who led police on a high-speed chase up to 100 MPH escaping from an $85,000 robbery at Valley First CU in 2004 was sentenced this week to seven years behind bars.
Dashelle Harris, 33, was finally forced to stop at a gas station where police found two accomplices who had robbed the credit union in the trunk of the car with the money, semiautomatic handguns and masks from the robbery, according to court records.
The two accomplices, identified as Elmar Scott, 34, and Rashod Bledsaw, 31, allegedly entered the credit union around 11 am on Aug. 24, 2005 wearing masks and carrying the guns, and ordered everyone to the ground, dragging some people on the floor. They forced employees to take them to the vault, where the gathered about $85,000 and ran out.
