GTE FCU Goes To Bat For Youth Promotion

TAMPA, Fla. — Four teenagers will serve as temporary bat boy or other ceremonial positions or other positions when the Tampa Bay Rays play the New York Yankees at Tropicana Field next week, courtesy of GTE FCU's youth membership drive.

The credit union's "U22 Takes Over the Trop" will choose four fans between the ages of 12 — 22 years to fill the Rays' exclusive positions as the Junior Bat Boy (or Girl), the Ceremonial Pitcher, the Junior Announcer and the 7th Inning Stretch Singer for the Yankees game. Each winner will also receive four free tickets.

To qualify teens are encouraged to take part in the big U22 Takes Over the Trop contest Interested applicants must register and submit a video or photo showcasing their skill and talent for the position they are interested in at www.U224U.com by July 14 to be eligible.

As part of the promotion all new members that open a U22 Checking Account between June 1 and July 14 will be entered to win four lower box seats and a meet with a Tampa Bay Rays player before the Yankees game.
