TAMPA, Fla. – Taking a page from the popular Mystery Monkey of Tampa Bay, the tiny Rhesus Macaque that travels across tree tops and through backyards to the delight of Facebook fans, GTE FCU is launching an online "Mystery Monkey Tour Contest" that will present a series of clues for a chance to win a $1,500 cash prize.
At the end of the contest the credit union will also make a cash donation to the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary.
The Mystery Monkey has attracted national attention on newscasts, websites and newspapers, becoming a celebrity of sorts garnering legions of curious spectators and nearly 79,000 Facebook fans. For over a year now, the seemingly uncatchable young primate has traveled across tree tops and through backyards spanning three counties and over 400 square miles.

As part of the promotion, participants who join GTE FCU by July 8 will get a free Mystery Monkey tee-shirt in support of the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary.
