CUNA's Center for Research and Advice has released "Best Practices: Credit Counseling That Works," which shows how, at no charge, eight different credit unions help their members successfully manage their debt, make the most of their assets and ultimately achieve financial freedom.
According to CUNA, the 28-page report explains how to: deliver one-on-one counseling services through reputable outside agencies or in-house staff; choose counselors with the right characteristics and qualifications; offer seminars that help members make better financial choices; recognize the signs that members are taking on more debt than they can afford, and more.
