HarborOne CU Donates $20,000 To Local Charities

BROCKTON, Mass. – HarborOne CU has contributed more than $20,000 to local causes.

The credit union gave $3,000 to support Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern New England, which assists financially strapped families. A contribution of $1,000 was made to the Brockton Historical Society for its 40th anniversary dinner, which honored the late firefighter Billy Donovan by naming the society’s fire museum in his memory.

The credit union also gave $8,500 to support the Old Colony YMCA’s 2010 “Strong Kids Campaign;’’ $2,500 to Catholic Charities South; $2,000 to My Brother’s Keeper Building Committee 2010 Mission Appeal; $1,000 each to the Old Colony Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Brockton Visiting Nurse Association; $2,000 each to Signature Health Care and Brockton Interfaith Community; and, $1,000 each to the Cape Verdean Association, the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, and the Canton Association of Industries Road Race.
