NEWBURG, Ind. – Heritage FCU said yesterday it has hired Ruth Gaon, a long-time credit union manager, to be its president and CEO, the first woman to lead the credit union in its 40-year history. Gaon was most recently president of Northeast Arkansas FCU, and has also managed credit unions in California, Arizona and New Mexico. Heritage FCU has about $300 million in assets and about 30,000 members.
