FLINT, Mich. — For the second year in a row, Dort FCU has substantially brightened to families' holidays by giving them new homes.

Dort FCU's Home for the Holidays Home Giveaway Contest, awarded homes to two working mothers who were selected from among 100 applicants. The mortgage-free homes were renovated and brought up to code by the credit union.
The winners included Candice Garner, who has four children and who won a home in Flint Township, and Rockie Hartley, who has two children and won a home in Mt. Morris Township, Mich. Both families were driven to their new homes by limo and followed by an entourage of sponsors, supporters and media.
