BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three men charged in a takeover robbery at Navigator CU in March were arrested after they boasted of their escapades on the website MySpace.
The three were arrested after police found their accomplice on a MySpace site showing a handgun shooting out wads of cash with the message “FREE BRENT PUGH YOU FBI BITCHES.” Other pictures at the site showed young men flashing wads of cash.
The site also taunted police and boasted of the young men’s newfound wealth, showing them dressed in hooded sweatshirts, pointing guns and waving fistfuls of $20 bills.
The friends list at the site led police to the three suspects.
Authorities called the group the “Hoodies Robbers” because of their chosen garb during the credit union and other area hold ups.
