ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ESL FCU is preparing to break ground on its new $50 million headquarters, one of two major projects aimed at changing the face of this decaying upstate New York city.
The $3 billion credit union plans to build a six-story office building where it will house 300 employees and a new branch. The project is expected to be completed by the spring of 2010.
ESL is the second major employer to announce plans for downtown, joining l ocal telecommunications provider PAETEC, which will build its worldwide headquarters here.
