BOSTON IC Federal Credit Union took a top prize at the New England Financial Marketing Association awards last week for its recent YouTube Gen Y campaign.
The $489-million CU won the gold in the $500-million-or-less category.
Following the release of “Credit Card Murphy Behind the Plastic” in April, the videos went viral. Views currently number more than 700,000.
The CU said that the videos produced a significant increase in new Gen Y members. IC FCU was also recently named No. 1 by the Financial Brand in its Top 100 YouTube list.
