The Idaho Credit Union League (ICUL) announced that its president and CEO Kathy Thomson will retire in January 2017.
Thomson joined the ICUL staff in 1973, and has held the title of president and CEO since early 2014.
"We've been fortunate to have Kathy as a long-time, dedicated employee serving our Idaho credit unions for over 43 years," Kent Oram, chair of the ICUL's board of directors said in a statement.
During Thomson's career with the ICUL, the state's credit unions saw membership mushroom from 110,000 to 738,027. Meanwhile, assets held by those credit unions skyrocketed from $122 million to $7.2 billion.
"I am so proud of the ways credit unions change members' lives," said Thomson. "I can personally attest to the impact credit unions have on the employees who serve this industry as well. It's been a pleasure to lead the League in supporting credit unions, so they can keep all of their focus on serving their teams and their members."
The league has not yet announced Thomson's successor.
