ROME, N.Y. - (08/01/05) -- A local woman opened accounts atthree area credit unions using another woman's identity. Policesaid Shinha Thomas stole the victim's purse last year and has beenusing her identification since then. The scheme was uncovered whentellers at Americu CU contacted police after Thomas tried to openan account there. She was arrested when she returned to the creditunion.
